December 2023 – The Collector – Ghost Light Theatre Company, Swansea
The Collector is a short story (400 words) chosen by the Ghost Light Theatre Company for their Silent Night: An evening of Christmas-themed ghost stories. Unfortunately unable to attend on the night, The Collector will be read by a local actor.
November 2023 – The Bar – Page 2 Stage 2.
The Bar. Organized by the Park Street Performing Arts Centre in Hull, Page 2 Stage 2 saw 6 playwrights vie to have a short piece (10 minutes, 3 characters max) chosen to be worked on and extended to a full play. The scripts were handed to the actors with only enough time for a read through and were performed on stage in front of an audience. The Bar was very well received but didn’t quite make it.
October 2023 – Swords & Gaslamps, vol 1.
A collection of 9 short stories based mainly in the Sword & Sorcery genre, Swords & Gaslamps also includes some Steampunk with heavy fantasy elements added for fun. October 2023 – Guest panelist at Hulloween Steampunk Festival, Hull.
Delighted to be invited by Humber SFF to add my enthusiastic and exuberance style to the 2nd Hulloween Steampunk Festival. Discussing, of all things, Defensive Couture and Combative Coattails with Craig Hallam and Shellie Horst, and taking part in Risen from the North, with Craig and Keith W. Dickinson.
September 2023 – Peasant Magazine, issue #1
The Glamouring of Brond Col is a 5000 word Sword & Sorcery short story being the first to feature the eponymous hero on his journeys to the Rabic Isles. A story of dragons, mercenaries and things that aren’t what they seem. Peasant Magazine is produced by fantasy author Charles Moffat and is available as a free PDF download, or a premium Print on Demand magazine.
